phase three complete.

well, well, well.... as many of you faithful followers know through facebook, we have successfully painted zak's room this past weekend. and i must say i LOVE it. i don't want to be a braggart, but i think that my mother and I did a fabulous job on it, and considering it took us many hours to complete, it better have looked freaking awesome.

my favorite is the castle, you have no idea how many freaking times i had to paint that thing to make it look good. it was definitely a process. anyways, we've decided now that we're going to try and make his room more of a piratey room. not like scary pirates, but cute stuff. this is what i've found so far:
is that not the most cool toy chest you have ever seen?? ummmm the answer is yes. and i am stoked to order it sometime soon. it is so cute!!

this is my vision of his bedding now, because i have vetoed our cute baby sea animal stuff. I think this pattern is adorable. only problem, is that it's in London, and I can't sew. but i have a dream of what i want with it, i want it patchworked like this, with silk edging so it feels cool, and then i want some bumper pads with each of the squares on it. if anyone would like to volunteer to help me on this endeavor i would gladly appreciate it. =)

i'm hoping to find maybe an anchor or some plastic swords to hang up on the other walls that aren't painted, to add to the decor, but we'll see. our first priority is getting shelves and under the bed boxes to store all of the random stuff i don't know where to put quite yet.

6 weeks left. oohhh baby.

levi-less.

well today is the first of many levi-less days for his applying to dental school-ness. this weekend, he's in canada taking the canadian DAT. big big deal. so i'm stuck here... well not stuck, i chose not to go, but it's still weird. so instead of writing my english assignment that i should be doing, i blog. yes, productive i am.

ohhh the lizzie mcguire movies on! yesssss.....

anyways, the baby shower this weekend was quite productive. it was great going home, even if we did have to drive the obnoxious 8 hour drive. zakary's room is coming together quite nicely, we now have a crib, a dresser, and glider. we also got a stroller and car seat this weekend so i think that things are working out very smoothly. we need to buy our bedding and random things like baby monitors and stuff but we have two months for that. =) i'm content buying baby clothes and shoes for the moment.

my mom also took some fabulous preggo pictures of me this weekend for her photography class that she's in. i think that she did a good job... can you believe how big the little munchkin has gotten? i look at myself and am still shocked when i see the belly. thats so weird.

what's even weirder is that we have less than 7 weeks left. i'm not sure if we're ready to have a kid. i guess no one is ever "ready" to have one, but after having spent some serious time with a cute little babe this weekend, i have come to the acknowledgement that i know nothing really about babies. i'm sure when it comes, it'll just happen or with practice, because it's not the same with someone else's kid. it's just weird to think of everything that changes when you have kids. i even thought about carrying in our groceries today, how do people carry bags, a diaper bag and a kid?!

i have no idea.

reno.

well, the last several weeks have been adventurous to say the least. we've had some of my family staying at our house, only to leave and have levi's family come to stay later that evening. my grandma is in for the week, and then we go to reno for the weekend for our second baby shower. it's been quite a month so far. i will say that i am kind of tired right now, but at least my house looks normal for the first time in quite some time.

as for going to reno, plans for that changed as well. my lovely husband decided that he has too much to do now, so he opted out of going. apparently studying for the two DAT's and taking 17 credits and being a research assistant has him quite overbooked, and with our families having been here he hasn't had much time to do anything. even though he is at basketball this evening instead of studying, buuut i guess everyone needs their break. sooo, he is no longer going with me, but my lovely friend Jenni decided she would love to take her cute little child with me on our long road trip to see my crazy family. =) it should be fun though as we will have some extended family in town too.

while we are making this adventure, i'm going to get my hair cut by my fabulous hair cutter friend Melanie. the problem: i'm feeling more crazy than usual, i would like to switch up the hair, even though my husband would like to have it longer. i think that this girl's hair is really cute though. i'm thinking of more of a dramatic a-line. but maybe not as long in the front? opinions?

p.s. my car will be done tomorrow! so that we can drive it this weekend! only 3 weeks later! =)
