canada numero one.

i've realized since going through all the pictures we have taken that it will amount to a very very long post, so what better way to help that, than to divide it into two posts? Which i know all you secret and nonsecret readers want to see. It feels like we've been up here quite some time, which is true because our break started waaay before christmas actually is. we spent friday last week driving and then stayed at grandma's in cardston to take 5 generation pictures.

 grandma and grandpa are pretty cute with these babies.

 levi in the 5 generations picture. zak is being a good sport.

 we're a pretty good looking family.
 levi and his dad's side of the fam.

 zak and markus are best friends.

 we spent the evening making gingerbread houses and loving it. we are excellent icing makers.

 it's a tradition in the lowry fam to make lots and lots and lots of chocolates. my job involved stirring the chocolate so it didn't burn. and covering the little balls. yes, it was challenging.

 zak helping us.

me and kassie dominate at farkle. if you've never played it, do it. it's awesome. more to come of our christmas events. we're starting the ugly sweater party now. and yes, mine is sexy.

ochito.

{kassie documented this awesome picture. drool and everything}

i'm a little behind with finals and everything this week, but the little monster has turned 8 months old!! i also don't have many pictures since my computer died, so you'll have to deal with the ones i just snapped. =)

some of the things we love are:
- our exersaucer.
- anything electronic. we're now learning how to not eat them.
- trying to eat anything mom and dad do.

- laughing when people tell us how cute/adorable/gorgeous we are. {seriously, almost every time he does}
- dancing to music. whether its on itunes or tv or the wii, we're stopping what we're doing to look at it.
- books. especially books that you sing to, like 5 little monkeys.
- somehow scooting all the way up the crib so our head's in the corner, untying the bumper pads, taking our socks and pants and blankets off and then crying because we can't move. {yes, this happens every night, despite us sticking him at the very bottom of his bed.}
- grabbing the cat.
- wearing/eating mom's necklaces and bracelets.
- going for walks, which is a little more challenging now that it's chilly outside.
-being cheesy. like this picture.
- scooting backwards. we have yet to learn how to crawl, so our moving is getting on our tip-toes in a pushup position and moving backwards.{it's quite entertaining. minus the fact that he gets mad very quickly because he's not going the way he wants to.}
- yelling. and not when we're mad, just to make noise. we're very vocal.
- buzzing our lips. {thankfully we've moved from spitting bubbles to this}
- staring at the christmas lights.
- swimming in the bathtub.
- squirming out of mom and dad's arms when there is something else we'd like to do better.
- trying to stand up
-hitting/smacking/punching anything. like the carpet, mom's chest. books, toys, remotes.

- having crazy hair.

all in all, we're very cute and hilarious. despite our feisty feisty days, which you'd never know when you looked at him, we will keep the little bugger around.

temple.

after dropping off the MIL at the airport on wednesday, we ventured out to temple square to see the lights for the first time in 4 years that we've lived here. it was quite the adventure because the beast was throwing up ALL day the day before {yes, we probably shouldn't have taken him out. but this was the only time we could go, so we bundled him up nice and toasty shmoasty}

it was quite a sight to behold, there are TONS of people there, but it was fun to see the temple and take some pics! =)

 this is how we were basically the whole evening. he was not impressed with the lights.

 everyone says they look alike, but i really can't see it.

 yeah, my husband's good looking. and i'm a fat face with just as squishy cheeks as my child.
