greysen.

this little man is cracking us up every day. he has turned into quite the.... diva? that's not the right word, but he will tell you what/how/when he wants things and you better do it for him.

when he went in for his 15 month check up, his length and weight were in the 60th percentile. His head is finally averaging out, and is in the 80 something percentile instead of the 95th. so way to go baby.

he has been walking for about 2 months and loooooves it. i love it too. it means pants don't get all holy, shoes don't get ripped up and he is so much cleaner.

he is the pickiest eater known to man. if it does not look entirely appetizing he will not even touch it. we have cut out his squishes in hopes that he will try new things, and it's working, slowly but surely. or he goes hungry, which my doc said he would be perfectly find skipping a dinner or two. currently, his favorite foods include: peanut butter and jelly, chicken and apple sausages, bananas, green beans-- occasionally, any type of cereal, and any type of dessert. so healthy obviously.

he loooooooves dad. so much. when he gets home, i am chopped liver/he wants to get away from me as quickly as possible.

along those lines, if i try to snatch him or kiss him while dad is home, he will give me the nastiest stink eye. levi has never been privileged to receiving it, but those who are in his way/don't give him the right food/he just doesn't like,  have been blessed with seeing his nasty face. i have yet to capture a picture of this precious face, but when i do, you will know.

he loves balls. any type of ball, he will kick it or throw it anywhere. he probably throws it better than zak does to be honest.

he is a little dare devil. he will go down any slide, stand on anything that moves, and do anything that zak does. he loves his brother. and will put up a good fight if zak tries to mess with him.

he can say a few words, his favorites are "GO GO GO!" "YEAH!" "dada" "aahhh" which i assume means zak. he understands a lot more, and talks more and more every day.

he has turned into a spitfire, such personality and fiestiness. it continues to amaze me how genetics work, the two of them are so different

halloween-er.

this year i was traveling on halloween, so unfortunately i didn't get to take a ridiculous amount of pictures of my adorable children trick or treating. but, we did get to carve pumpkins the week before, so we'll say that's a good start.

unfortunately for greysen he does not get to carve pumpkins, but he did enjoy painting his immensely.

 ok. he's just like totally adorable. he is still carrying that pumpkin around two weeks later, he must be very proud of his masterpiece.

 the only way for zak to take a good pictures is to have the self timer on, so we tried it while dad got legit carving his pumpkin.

these guys are my fav. how can you resist all that cuteness?

self timer FTW. way to go zak.

as a major holiday celebrator, i'm a little sad i missed out on halloween this year, but alas, we will just have to make up for it on thanksgiving and christmas!

disney.

well it's about time we delve into the world of disney. levi had an externship down in LA at the end of september, so we spent the few days beforehand at my favorite place in the world. i love disney. it's so magical. and i was super stoked for zak to get into it and actually remember. to prepare, zak and i watched a special disney movie every day for the week beforehand, tangled, toy story 1 & 3, monsters inc, and cinderella. {i wanted adorable pictures of him with princesses but we failed at that. and nor did he care very much. super lame}

we did california adventure on friday because disney closed at 7 that night and it was awesome. basically no lines, and it was the first time we'd been there, so zak and i were quite excited. {i swear the rest of our family was there, but for some reason they don't express emotion like we do}

we rode the ferris wheel first because there were no lines for it that morning. super sweet.

zak became super stoked for toy story before we left, unfortunately for us, the two times we tried to see buzz, he decided to take a little snack break. zak was super disappointed, but we made up for it riding the toy story ride. it's pretty much the coolest ride in either of the parks. it's amazing what technology can do!

oh. and cars land is awesome. luigi's tires is super fun.

they also had a disney jr show that zak was very excited for. mickey mouse, sophia the first, and jake and the pirates oh my!

and greysen....  well he gets shafted for being too little to go on anything. lucky for him, he found a watering hole and quite enjoyed himself there while zak rode on all the rides.

that night, we went to go to dinner with the princesses, but apparently ariel's grotto doesn't do dinner with them anymore, they just give you a VIP ticket to world of color. which means you stand right in front. way better than fast passes. totally sweet. that show is amazing!

as per our tradition, the next morning we did breakfast with the characters. it's not only delicious, but gets quite a bit of characters out of the way.

greysen looooooved the characters. he was soooo happy.

zak even took good pictures while we were there. like i said, disneyland is magical.

it got super hot on saturday, so we bailed out early for naps, and went back after when it was cooler and there were less people. we spent a lot of time in tomorrow land, and riding autopia. {btw, stroller passes are the bomb! if one of you has to stay with the babes, make sure you get a stroller pass so you can go up to the front of the line when the other person gets back. super sweet!}

i'm sure i could write a lot more, but it's been so long. next time we go, it would be at the same time, just during the week because the weather was nice, and no one was there on friday. plus, having it all dressed up for the holidays is pretty fun.

our last venture of saturday night was to ride the train. all zak wanted to do was ride the monorail but we failed as parents, so we rode the circus train instead which satisfied him for the moment, until he realized that we sucked, and was so sad the whole week after because we didn't get to ride it.

like i said. he was so happy on there. train addict.

notice how there are no adult rides pictured on here? alas.... the perils of children. we got fast passes to go back at 11:00 for space mountain, but they closed it. most unfortunate. so we wandered around and ended up on indiana jones as our one adult ride of the weekend. boo. i could have definitely used another day there.... but something about preschool starting, externships starting and such. pffft.

updater.

this blog keeps getting more and more neglected. you'd think with levi studying for boards and finals and going on externships that i'd have plenty of time to write about our happenings. instead, i spent my time watching fringe {omg. sci fi. so not into that. but sooo into fringe.} and suits {it almost makes me want to go to law school. almost. love that show} during nap time, and bed time. it's a dangerous game having amazon prime instant videos.

in any case, here are some crappy iPhone updates of our venturings recently.

zak has a little friend, logan, who he adores and loves to play with. they are totally adorable, and i wish we could be here to see them grow up together.

 the boys and i have been venturing on runs/walks around the city, since it has been "indian summer". it's been quite lovely around these parts. i bribe them with treats and they walk/sit in the stroller enough for me to work on dis fitness =)

we went to the circus for the first time. i'll be honest i'm not a big proponent for it, after having read water for elephants/thinking of animals. it made me sad to see tigers doing tricks, but zak thought it was cool. i don't think we'll go again though. hurts my heart to see them forced to do things for the attention of kids.

greysen thought it was very enjoyable, obviously.

we had a movie and pizza night and made magic shell. again, greysen thought it was super cool.

oh and this magic shell was da bommbbbb.

grandma kelly and aunt dixie came for a few days before levi's oral surgery exams. we did some touristy things, went to muir woods, ate at ghiradelli's, golden gate park, and so on. it was quite fabulous.

we played in the one day of rain a year. it was quite exciting for us to put on our rain boots for the first time in a looong time.

greysen has been sloooowwwwwly inching closer to walking more than 6 steps at a time. for some reason he will only walk on carpet. he's such an adorable weirdo.

but he's just so cute, that it's ok. his squishy face. ahhh.

and lastly, zak has been frolicking with his lady friends. he's building up quite the reputation with the ladies in preschool already.

super exciting things happen in the lowry household obviously. next up: my favorite place, disneyland!
