buuuuuubbles- said finding nemo style.

i have a lot to write about this past week, i know. or, maybe i won't write about it and you can just stalk our graduation pictures on facebook and i can call it good for the blogging world. anyways, i was going through the camera this morning {did i mention i got a new camera for graduation due to the lowry fam? it's a fancy shmancy nikon. and it is AWESOME} and i just couldn't stop laughing at these pictures from last night.

sorry my hand is in these, my brother apparently doesn't know how to take pictures without getting me in them. but my child's faces crack me up.

also, we had our child participate in an infant study at BYU today, and apparently he is cognitively advanced for his age. we trained him well. not that i would brag about that.... it's just genetic. haha, ok, i'm done talking about how smart our child is. i'm sure every other kid is just as smart as he is. i will put in the plug though, that he still has no desire to walk whatsoever, in case i sound like a ridiculous parent.

relief.

we have a place to live!! it's not the 3 bedroom we really really wanted {no one's lease is up until waay after june}, so we took the next best option they had. we found this 2 bedroom loft, which i originally looked at and said "that is the most impractical living arrangement ever". and it really is. however, it has about 400 more sq feet than the other two bedrooms, and a "den/office" in between the first floor and the loft, so levi can put a desk there and call it a study place. we're pretty excited about it! it's also on the first floor of the complex, so that is freaking awesome. there are also only two lofts in the whole place, so we also feel kinda special lol it's not the most perfect place, as we will have a room with no walls {we have decided for the moment to give the beast the master bedroom because it has a door on it, and walls} so we will be sleeping in the loft, which has a giant walk in closet, so that's ok i guess.

here is the floor plan for all those thoroughly intrigued with our san francisco way of life:
sorry it's so small, it looks like that on the website too.

and now for the best part... pictures!
 the door! so exciting
washer and dryer, also exciting, plus they will not be in our bathroom. hallelujah!
kitchen! with a pantry i might add. also a hallelujah!
 living room
view from above in the loft
part of the "den/office" with a balcony i might add.

another view of the weird den/office/guest sleeping quarters for the moment.
our lovely bedroom. closet is in the dark doorway.
the view off of our balcony. fantastic eh?

the sales lady didn't take any pictures of the bathrooms or bedroom but that's ok, i would assume they're pretty standard. we will also have a coat closet, that is a plus as well. more storage! man, i feel like an adult when i look at these pictures, this is going to be our place in just over a month! ah!

only downside is that we're paying rent starting next week, but because of that, we will just be moving earlier =) we're thinking the last week of may/first week of june now instead of closer to the end of june. should be pretty exciting. our life after graduation next week includes: week of freedom, graduation trip/present until may 7th, i go to phoenix by myself {no babe-- gasp!} for a few days of girl time, come home and then go to montana with the lowry fam for a week, and then-- we move! holy moly. it sounds a little crazy, and i'm sure i will be much more stressed out when it comes nearer. i absolutely despise packing/driving/unpacking/hauling crap everywhere etc etc.

but we no longer need to worry about living on the streets when we get there because no one moves out. and this loft is pretty dang fantastic in my opinion. it better be for the amount of rent we're paying!

uno ano.

my child is one year old today. i love it. he looks like such a little man now. he's just so cute! i also love looking at these pictures and seeing how he changes.

some of the fun things he does now:

- crawling very very fast.
- getting down off the couch without just throwing himself off
- eating the cat's food
- say "nana" for banana, and "momma" and "dadda" and "titty" for kitty
- playing with the cat. nicely.
- dancing when music comes on
- yelling when we see food we want
- drinking out  the sippy like a big kid
- crawling up the stairs
- sitting forward in the carseat!! {mom's favorite}
- taking one nap a day
- pushing cars like they're supposed to be
- choosing to eat butternut squash soup instead of pasta or pizza.
- waving bye to anyone or when we leave him in his crib. cracks me up.
- clapping when we do.
- laughing when mom and dad laugh at something.
- giving open mouthed kisses... on occasion... and only to mom.

love you baby snakary. here's to 100 more years as your mommy.

first birfday.

baby turns one on wednesday. holy moly. my husband graciously gave up his birthday day for the beasty's party. i think it was pretty successful. as we already know, we threw a cowboy party....

surprisingly the cowboy hat wasn't as hated as i thought it was going to be. though now that i look at these pictures, it doesn't look like he enjoyed it much. he did keep it on though, so that's a plus.

do you like my husband's black eye? yah, he got playing basketball... what else? stitches, torn acl, black eye, no big deal.

i didn't get pictures of all the boys, but they were quite handsome all dressed up.

my pride and joy banner was fabulous.if i do say so myself. i printed out a pic for every month and taped them to the bottom. it's fun to see his progression over the months. i'll be honest, my perfectly cute newborn was not as perfectly cute as i thought he was.

i bought a wanted poster at the party store for like five bucks and it was worth every penny.

i take pride in the fact that my baby is quite good at opening presents. he rips the paper off like nobody's business.

my big top cupcake pan might just be the most awesome thing ever. and totally worth the $3.26 i paid for it on ebay. he was loving it, and probably ate waaay too much.

we've been working on sharing.... however, he tends to take things back after he shares them. like asher's part of his cake. i am loving asher's face in these though.

the final result of the cake eating. he did a pretty good job!!

happy birthday to my little munchkin. and thanks to everyone who came, and celebrated with him!
