Dun Dun Dun Duuuuuuuun!

Don't you just love it when your grades come back higher than you thought they were going to be?? I sure do. =) I am very impressed with my lack of.... effort yet high results back from it? Well, without further adeiu, I give you the total from this semester:

Socialization- A-
Language- B+
Cognitive- B+
Multicultural- A
Music- A- (Can you believe this business?? I guess thats what I get for not going)

Since I don't have my own computer up here in the artic, I can't post any of my pictures, but let me tell you, I have never been so cold in my entire life. It's not too bad usually because I stay inside, but when you go outside and it's windy and -20 degrees Celcius on the thermometer, its a little chily. But Canada is a fun place, I like it minus the fr eezing. I'm actually home by myself today because Levi and his siblings went skiing in this ridiculous weather and his parents went to help Tashina fix up her place, both of which I declined politely =) Now to pick a good movie to watch... maybe get dressed.... We'll see. =)

too common? psh.

hehehe the internet is just full of treasures--

-----------------------
doctor: "jackson and zachary huh? 10 years ago no one would have had those names, but now.... you'll have atleast one in every class room, they're pretty common"

me: "yep, well hopefully ours will be the only one"

....later....
levi: "we need to come up with different names. i don't like those anymore"

me: "why?? i like them a lot"

levi: "they're boring, i don't want our kid to be the same as every other kid"

argh.

so now we have to come up with other names that we agree on, it was hard enough to decide on those two as it is. he's killing me.

1. Carson- still probably my favorite
2. Cooper- i think it would be super cute
3. Tallen- different
4. Landon- how couldn't our kid be cute with this name?

What do you think??
-------------------------------------------

nurse: "lets hear the baby's heartbeat"
......
......
nurse: "did you have a lot of sugar for breakfast?"

me: "Um... granola, thats it, so not really"

nurse: "well then your kid just likes to do cartwheels and flips for fun, cuz everytime i try to hear him, he flips the opposite way and rolls over"

me: "we would have a child like that"

levi laughing: "yesssssss....."

happy day.

Hahahahahahahahahahaha- thanks to peopleofwalmart.com

-- Haha I love pictures. --

Well-
1. Finals are over. Did I do fabulous on them? Hahaha-- no. I lost all motivation after the whole "reading days" joke. Who actually studies on these days?? I also lost it when they decided to make none of my finals cumulative. Not that that was a bad thing, but it significantly lessened my desires.... All in all I'm going to assume I got:
Multicultural Education- A
Music Ed- A
Cognitive Development- B+
Language Development- B
Socialization across Childhood- B+

For lacking in effort/motivation this whole semester, I would say that my grades are pretty decent. Yeah for being done for the next 9 months- since next semester I only have my internship from 10:00-2:30 everyday, and 2 independent study classes. =)

I also learned that I'll get pell grant money for my independent study classes. It's been a happy happy day today. =)

karate chop.

Oh, I am 23 weeks pregnant now!

And our little man insists on karate chopping me in the bladder lately, which is a pleasant feeling if you have never felt it. Always good to know, he's alive and well in there.

We're almost to the point where I could deliver him and he would live, since his lungs are growing and growing now. Thats a good feeling as well. we haven't been doing this for nothing, not like it's been hard seeing as I haven't thrown up. or felt like throwing up. or really been tired or had backaches.... not that I'm complaining.

We now can tell that I'm semi-pregnant as well. Only took like almost 6 months. =)

pictures of the week.

this one is the "i guess i should be the cheesy pregnant person and put a picture of the little man" one. btw, i think we have decided on jackson as his name

this is the mug we made for the grandmother for our cruise at color me mine on monday for her christmas present. =)) i think she's gonna love it

this is the ornament we made for our tree as the start of a new tradition, it's super cute.

this is what i found the beast doing yesterday morning when i came down stairs. apparently we left the treat bag available for her to eat all of.

all in all, i should be studying for finals. buuut yuck. i'll get to it. eventually.

anger.

so as we were going to our car this morning, and we found something fabulous.....

yes, that would be our window smashed in.
and they used a fire extinguisher to smash it. however, they didn't take anything. stupid.
awesome. so glad it's snowing outside as well.

Deliciousness.

Levi told me I needed to blog about our meal this evening because I was so excited for it, buuuut we went to In N Out!
I have missed it sooo much! I didn't quite get what people were talking about when we first moved to Nevada but it is so good. And the line wasn't actually long! It took only about 10 minutes to order and get our food which you wouldn't think when you look at the lines out the door. It was sooo worth it! Yeah!

things i have learned while cruising.

1. pregnant people cannot sink. which in turn making trying to go underwater while snorkeling impossible.

2. charging to your room makes you have no idea how much money you have spent. i am now not going to be able to go shopping ever again.

3. monsoons can happen at any moment-- make sure you have the proper shoes on, as taking them off and running through the streets to find shelter can leave your feet permanently black and gross.

4. baby clothes are still fun to buy even in mexico.

5. stingrays are gross- i'm actually pretending to hold it here. =) 6. some old ladies can eat as much as levi, which is impressive- we're talking 2 main courses, 3 appetizers, and 2 desserts.

7. along with that, eating dinner with two 75 year old couples is hilarious. nothing is good enough-- food is gross, those people are too loud, no entertainment. smile and nod.... smile and nod.

8. formal pictures are outrageously expensive. but i paid for them anyways. sucker.

9. underwater scooter snorkeling has got to be one of the best inventions ever. whoever says it's for lazy snorkelers simply has not tried it.

yes, it is awesome.

10. thong swimsuits and speedos are still sexy.

11. pineapple banana smoothies are the most delicious drinks in the entire world.

12. sometimes you can buy fabulous t-shirts and baby clothes, but they can disappear someplace between the store-taxi-margaritaville-taxi-ship.

13. your husband can still be hit on by the masseuse giving him his massage. apparently he is wanted to go visit this lovely girl's farm back in south africa. =)

14. i refuse to go into any store, where the workers are standing outside trying to hustle you inside. no freaking way, not even if i wanted to go in, i'll find it some place else.

all in all, i would say that our trip was a success, now onto school-- 9 days left!!

details...

Well, as most of us know from facebook, we are having a BOY! and I will admit I was not so thrilled and excited, it took me a little while to be able to think that boy clothes would be fun to buy since my gigantic flower headbands are no longer applicable here lol. but i spent some quality time at babysrus to get excited while levi was taking his exam and i bought some very very cute summer clothes for $1.50 each! Soo, boys may not have the selection that the girls do, however they are pretty stinking cute still i guess. and ours will be for sure, no question about that, he's going to be the best dressed little man around.

and as even better news, we are leaving TODAY!! we are all packed and just emptying the house and we should be off on our new adventure of the high seas at 11:00! We fly into Miami at like 11:30 tonight, and then we are going to board tomorrow at like 2:00. It should be preeetty great!

we will post lots of pictures when we get back, ahola for now!!

cayman islands, where we shall be on monday! yes yes, you can be jealous! =))

craigs list.

So I have decided today that I wanted to get some money without working, lol and lo and below did I know that I had over 10 purses that I do not use, but are worth some serious cash? Nooo.... So i took pictures of them and put them on craigslist for people to buy. I'm not sure if I will get any of them to sell, but if you would like to contribute to "melissa's baby clothes fund" I would really appreciate it! they would make great christmas presents! or yourself presents! =)

here are some pictures of them:
Guess- $25.00
coach- $40.00

louis vuitton- $50.00

Linnea Pelle- $90.00

Nine West- $20.00
Zebra- $20.00

Brown Leather- $20.00

American Eagle- $15.00

If you like any of them, I will be willing to negotiate the price! Help me buy cute child clothes! =)

cruise shopping baby.

so we went shopping for our cruise today. =) and it was fabulous. we originally started because my husband has no nice dress clothes for our nice dinners, so we went to burlington coat factory, which btw is the best place to buy dress clothes for boys. it's so cheap and nice at the same time.

so we got him 3 pairs of dress pants, two shirts and ties and one pair of dark brown shoes for all under $150 bucks! which may sound like a lot, but i will tell you that the last time he bought khakis, he spent $75.00 on them, and today we got them for $22.99. he even admited that my shopping skills came in handy today because we got some good stuff waaay cheaper than he would have bought them.

i would put pictures on here-- but who really wanted to look at boy clothes? actually, i don't know if anyone wants to look at my clothes, but thats ok. =)

as for me, i just got some shoes. of course. but they are just what i need.=) i've been shopping over the last couple months for this big event!
yes, they are gold and sparkly. levi thinks they look ridiculous. but i don't care. do i ever? but don't you think they would dress up a fabulous outfit for our special dinners?? =)

lets see what else have i gotten?
i got these-- and a red pair too. you can never have too many sunglasses especially coach ones. =)

oohh and my new flip flops. if you do not have rainbow flipflops, i highly highly suggest you invest in some. my brown ones have lasted my like 2 years! these were on sale when i bought them a couple months ago for 30 bucks instead of 50! yeah yeah yeah! and plus, the green is so fun. i love them.

swimsuits:

$7.99 each at target!! too bad i still don't look pregnant, but thats ok i guess. i can just pretend with these swim suits =)

i did get a fabulous maxi dress, but i can't find a good picture of it online. but i'm sure you will see a picture of it soon. =)

5 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

best day ever.

Ugh.
This is the word that most describes my day. Ugh.
Let me explain-- first, i woke up and came down for breakfast when I found out that our sink was not draining, which it was doing yesterday and for some reason is not doing right now. it's pretty gross actually.

then, i went to get ready for school and go to cognitive development and when i got in the car, it didn't turn on, and made this grotesque sound when i was trying to turn it. levi was already at work, so i had to call my dad and he said because it reset all of the stuff in my car, that the battery was probably totally dead. so we need to go to costco, buy a new battery so we can drive it to a shop so they can fix it, because if we just jump it, we risk it dying when we're driving which would suck worse. so then i didn't get to go to class, cuz i would be late because you can only sign the attendance roll in the first couple minutes of class and i would be late having to walk there. so i got up at 8:00 to go to work at 12:00. awesomeness.

and then i had to teach today all by myself because shavon was doing parent teacher conferences. well, not all by myself, cuz libbi and casi were there but i was in charge. and all was going somewhat smoothly until recess and when they all come back in they go crazy. then we had to do this ridiculous flashlight dance, where i move a turned on flashlight and they're supposed to move like that. it was working well until they wanted to be in partners and all wanted to be partners with boys, of which there are less than there are girls, or with this one girl, who is mean to all of them but they all love her for some weird reason. and then our favorite little devil child ethan, decided to trip hugh, who in turn started screaming when he fell so libbi took ethan, casi took hugh and i was left with the rest of the children, who were dancing in partners, but then we stopped but the music was still on, and anne (the director of the preschool and kindergarten) came in and was like "what is going on in here?" haha awkward. and then said "we should move on to another activity". haha siggh. i love teaching. in my defense, it was time for parents to pick them up so it was a little chaotic as it always is. but still it was crazy. stupid flashlight dance.

all in all, this has been a wonderful day. i want to eat something delicious, which will be my chili and cornbread which will be ready in about 25 minutes.

Halloweeny halloweeny.

I decided I would put our Halloweeny pictures on here even though they are already put on facebook. We had a fabulous time even though it wasn't Halloween until today.

Our Halloween party in kindergarten was FAAABULOUS! I think that holidays with children make them so much better than they actually are. I feel like because of this, I was more excited to get our costumes ready. But here is my favorite picture of Libbi, Casi and me.

Yes, I know my hair is fabulous. It was a little windy.

Last night, we spent the evening with friends and had a semi-Halloween party including chips, pizzas and drinks. Good good stuff. I must say that us driving up to Pleasant Grove in our outfits caused quite a commotion on the freeway. Especially Levi's florescent hair and mask. Hahaha.
Doesn't he look like such a villian? I know, I did good on the "S" and the cape. and the hair. and his tights. and boxers. Haha.

You can't tell what my hands are doing, but they were menacing I promise.

As an update, I got my internship for next semester. Even though it is not paid (stupid economy) it will still be fun to do since I won't be working. I think that tutoring little kids in reading should be really great. I also picked working from 10-2 cuz I can sleep in until 9 and still come home after work and have a great rest of the day because I still have the rest of the day to do nothing. Or homework. =)

19 days until baby sex.
20 days until cruise.

Booyah.

Sunday, October 25, 2009

hahahaha. awesomeness.

Try JibJab Sendables® eCards today!

this is what we do in kindergarten apparently.

halloweeny.

this is what me, libbi and casi and i are being for halloween. we asked all of the children in our class, and the incredibles was one of the only options we agreed on, besides hannah montana, the jonas brothers, and princesses.

i am trying to get levi to be mr. incredible for our halloween party on friday, but he refuses, with the excuse of "i'll look ridiculous if i try and be him". that's what halloween is for?!! so far, i'm not winning but we'll see who wins in the end. usually it's me. =)

random.

here are my random thoughts for the day:

1. my cat likes sour patch kids. she eats them and licks all the sugary stuff off first. and we thought she was cool before.

2.
I secretly want to marry this man. Yes, I am happy in my marriage. However his singing and dancing skills make me love him. In case you don't know, he stars in Glee, the best show in the whole world, you should watch it if you already don't.

3. Quote of the day: "Your belly's getting fatter, is your baby coming soon?" Thank you Eva, my favorite 5 year old. I just told her to wait a couple of months to watch it get even bigger.

4. I officially retired my BYU kindergarten career as of December since BYU is stupid and doesn't let you work on campus if you aren't a full time student. If anyone would like to take my spot in the afternoon, I can recommend you for the job. =)

5. I found an internship that I think I'm going to do. However, its in Draper which kinda sucks but it's a learning center based off of what the kindergarten is like but for 1st through 6th grade. It sounds cool.

6. I love 30 rock. If you don't watch the show, here are some of the best quotes of the last two seasons. they should make you want to watch it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JvZmTYXImQk

7. 27 days til we find out the sex of our kid.

8. 28 days til we go on our cruise! This will be me in approximately 4 weeks:

babydom

I bought my first maternity clothing this weekend. Which was a big deal in the world of Melissa.
I got this from Shade because they had a sale going on but I think it's going to be a cute shirt I can wear when I'm not preggo either. I have also decided that I am never going to shop in Motherhood Maternity. I hate that store. When we went in this weekend, they tried to sell me so much crap it was kind of ridiculous, plus I'm not a big fan of the clothing. I'm going to find someplace else to buy my clothes from, cuz I won't go in there again.

But on the plus side of babydom, we're done the first trimester. I don't know if I mentioned that a while ago but we are now onto 16 weeks and in 1 month, we get to find out the sex of our kid! Wahoo!!

jelly donut.

this post is a tribute to my puppy, who is now old, who is going to be put down this week. =(

Jelly Donut aka J.D. is now 14 years old and past his prime. But he's had a good run. He's been through ridiculous amounts of snow in New Jersey where he couldn't run around because his legs are too short, moving across the country, camping in a trailer endless amounts of time, moving houses in Nevada, being left at the puppy hotel while we went on vacation, eating ice cream cones and getting brain freezes and herding our psychotic cat Lacy back inside from the backyard. He will be missed dearly by Lacy Mae, the one cat left, and by the family who he's grown up with but he will be in a much better place soon. I love you!

twizzler.

This is Twizzler, our new beta fish we inherited from Tashina. His name was originally Fish, but I decided to stick with the candy theme and rename him. =)

This is Snickers "guarding" Twizzler from unwanted attackers.

And this is the "unwanted attacker".

However, there has been some delay on eating him because she doesn't like to get her paws wet. We haven't decided if she just likes watching him swim around (because he does tempt her. for some reason he likes to swim to the top when she's watching and then zoom back down to the bottom when she looks like she's going to get him) and wants to play with him, or if she's actually going to eat him. That is why we put the fish in our office and only allow her in there when we can watch her carefully. It is highly entertaining though, watching her scratch on the door to be let in. =)

uh oh.

So, the past couple nights I've been having this feeling that I should change my major. Seriously? After all of the hours I spent getting into my program, applying and doing all of the stuff that goes along with it, I have this desire to switch. Let me explain....

Next fall, I am supposed to be doing a "cohort" with a bunch of girls who are in my major. Basically we take all of our classes together, and then the last half of the semester, we are in the classroom with kids. Then in the winter semester, I will student teach for two different grades, Pre-k- kindergarten and 1st through 3rd. Having worked in the preschool and kindergarten now, I know that this is a 7:30-4:30 job all day every day. So, because of this, I've been having doubts on whether or not I want my child staying with someone else all day, and because Levi will be working and going to school that's how it would be. Now, the problem is that I have taken waaay too many parenting/socialization/brain development classes to be ok with this. I know that attachments are formed within the first year, and yes, even though I would have our kid for 4 months before I started all this crazy school business I don't want my kid calling someone else "mom" for their first word because I'm not there. I also know that their neural connections are being built this first year too and not that I don't love and trust other people, but I do know somewhat what I should be doing to help my kid. So, I am not comfortable with leaving them all day like a daycare kid.

Soo, I've been looking into a major that ties in with the classes I've been taking and found one that I have a lot completed: Marriage, Family and Human Development with an emphasis in early childhood. All of my classes this semester would go towards it because I had to withdraw from all of my ECE ones to make working work. So because of that, I'm in 3 SFL classes, which although I didn't think it was at the time, but maybe it's hinting to what I should do? I don't know...

These are my reasons to switch so far:
1. I can take 5 of the classes I need, independent study next semester so that I don't have to take any on campus and I will be able to finish them before our kid is born that way I still get credit for the semester.
2. I can graduate in December 2010, instead of April 2011. Along with that, I would only have to take 3 classes in the fall, which would be even better. Also, levi is thinking that he'll graduate then too and since he'll be finding out where he's going to dental school then, he could work fulltime whereever we decide to go, and take a break before life gets all crazy for him.
3. Obviously, I could be home with our baby more and not have to have someone watch them all the time.
4. Even though it isn't my perfect major, who says I'm going to work after I get my degree anyways? Is it worth giving my kid to someone else so that I can finish what I want to do?
5. I can always go back and get the teaching stuff for it later.

Cons:
1. I love my major. Hands down. I love the kids I work with now and think it's a fabulous job.
2. I don't really know much I could do with the major when I would get it. It says you can work at daycares, or rehabilation centers etc. But do I want to do that? However, I have always though that I could have a little daycare thing at my house while Levi is in dental school to bring in some extra money.
3. I can't think of any right now, but I know there are some more.

I will add to this that my husband thinks it's a stupid reason to switch majors when there are clearly other options (though he hasn't given me any other options to choose from). However, I will not tell him that I think he has no idea what he is talking about since obviously he has not read the studies and been to all of the classes pertaining to this like I have.

Soo... any tips? Suggestions?

fame etc.

i saw fame this evening and was not particularly impressed. i am a big big fan of musicals and thought this was going to be fabulous with all of the dancing and what not, however i was mistaken. it was ok, not worth my $8.50 I paid for it, but oh well. I would have liked more singing and dancing and developing of character's stories, but then it would have been like 4 hours long so i see why it was so short.

also, i did not post my fabulous baby bag on here! i got it in the mail today and it's even better than i expected. it just makes me want to buy stuff to put in it. =))

isn't it just fabulous? levi was like "you would buy a bag like that. it doesn't even look like a baby bag" and i said, duuuuh. but yes, i'm going to be such a cool mom. hehe

as an update, levi doesn't have the swine flu- he's just been sick for the last 17 million days, well it feels like that anyways, it's only been 4 technically. and because of this, he has watched 3 whole seasons of heroes. you should be impressed. i don't know many people who can watch that much tv in a day, but my husband can. =)

also, i am loving all of the people getting married now. it's kind of crazy!

---.

Well I have been told that I have begun to slack a little on the blogging bit, which I admit I have. Not like I do much homework, but I have much less motivation to write out long things about my life than I did during the summer. Probably because I'm actually doing other things besides working and coming home to watch TV. Anyways, here is my update:

1. My husband thinks he might have the swine flu. He texted me while I was at work today and said he thought he was getting sick because he had a lot of flu like symptoms. Well, two hours later he got an email from a kid in one of the classes he TA's for that said he has the swine flu and wont' be coming to class for a while. Apparently this is the type of kid who sits in the front row, comes to all his office hours, so his exposure is legit enough for me to make him a doctor's appointment bright and early tomorrow morning to get it checked out. But I'm going to be kinda ticked if he has it. a. because that means that I am a contact of it and probably can't work with my 20 children who have worse immune systems than me and b. i don't want to get it but seeing as we share a lot of things in this house hold, it is very likely that i could. death.

2. I still fail at doing homework, studying, and motivating myself to do anything related to school. Apparently I can't take 13 credits because I feel like I have nothing to do. I'll remember that in the future.

3. I would like to comment on the friends I have going to the Miley Cyrus concert tonight-- there are 3 girls in the kindergarten going with their moms as well. Maybe you'll see them there. =)

4. I hate having people call asking for us to donate money to some charity or another. I always feel like a jerk for not wanting to, and they don't ever let you hang up ever.

5. I'm excited for this dramatic change in weather that is supposed to happen this evening. I'm tired of being all sweaty after coming in at recess. And plus, I have some lovely sweaters to wear now.

I am really lacking in the inspired writing department tonight so that is all I leave you with my good friends. =)

body.

Let me tell you what an interesting sensation it is to have your pants fit in the legs, but then be extremely tight at the waist. I have invested (well my mom invested, and gave it to me) in the BellyBand, and I must say that it is fabulous. I might even wear it when I'm not pregnant because it holds the pants up without having to zip or button them.

However, I will tell you of the incident in kindergarten yesterday, I was wearing these cords, which were a lot lower rise than any of my work pants, which also made it hard for the band to stay down and cover the fly, because I have a longer torso yadda yadda yadda. Well, I was doing a good job making sure it was covered, but when I stood up from the chairs at the table, which I should mention are about a foot maybe off the floor so it's extremely awkward to get up from, the bottom part of my zipper was showing and I immediately got a "your pants are unzipped teacher". Awkward. then "are they too tight, do you need a bigger size?" What do you say to a kid, to explain that while you don't look like you have anything inside you, you actually do, and I don't need bigger pants, I just needed the stupid thing to stay down farther, which wasn't going to happen. Sigh. it'll be nice to look like I am not just gaining weight specifically in my stomach but that there is actually something there so I have a legit excuse for the children, besides "my stomach is too big" which I felt like saying.

Also, yoga right now. Holy freak. The only reason I go is because I like the way I feel when I'm done. Other than that, I wouldn't go, not only because I hate working out, but because it's hard!! Power yoga is a work out man!! She pumps the room up to like 80+ degrees so we are dripping with sweat and then we do the same things over and over again. But it feels so good, my body likes it, so I will continue to sweat it out every other day, knowing that this is the only exercise I'm going to do besides walk up the death stairs every day. =)

Thursday, September 17, 2009

oh boy.

we had our first baby apppointment today! it was awesome! we heard the heartbeat, which is beating at 173 beats per minute btw, and saw the ultrasound. It makes it seem a whole lot more real considering I haven't been sick at all so it really just doesn't feel like we're going to have a kid. but apparently there is something growing inside of me! So our official date is April 10, 2010 which would be awesome because Levi's birthday is the 9th!

btw, kindergarten is crazy. that's all i have to say. it's been a lot of work this week man.

Motivation.

I lack it. My classes this semester require limited effort, like reading a chapter a week (which I have yet to do), we don't have class for the week we have tests in my socialization across childhood class, my cognitive development class we don't have homework or a book in, he gives us an outline of his notes we need to fill in, my music class we record ourselves singing and rarely have homework. All in all- this means I would rather watch the opening nights of all of the new seasons of TV. Speaking of which, whoever decided to redo shows right when school starts was an idiot. I'm so glad I have gossip girl, ncis, ncis la, 30 rock and glee to watch. at least those. that's like 4 1/2 hours of tv a week. Which doesn't sound like much, but when you turn it on, it's 9 times harder to turn it off!

Also, our house is a mess. I'm also lacking in that department. I blame this lack of motivation to do anything on our future kid which is sucking my remaining juice out of me. Working from 12-4 and having class after that is exhausting me and then I have no desire to do anything. Which is why our house will remain like it is until we have to clean for my friend's baby shower that we're having at our place this weekend. I also have begun to eat ridiculous food now. I can no longer eat cereal, as I usually end up hungry and nauseous by 10:00. So today I had eggs, bacon and a bagel for breakfast, plus lean cuisine chicken alfredo for lunch, plus yogurt and granola for snack and an apple and then dinner! Oh and my popcorn and chocolate ice cream for dessert. speaking of which. I have never eaten chocolate ice cream in my life. It's gross, however I have begun to eat it frequently! I like sorbet waay more than ice cream but it doesn't even sound good. Being pregnant is crazy man. crazy crazy.

Oh Canada.

Well, we are back now. It was a good trip, but I am very glad to be home. We drove more than I have in my entire life and I am never doing it again. Bleh. I didn't take very many pictures except for Tashina's wedding, which is too bad.

But first, we began our voyage by traveling to northern Idaho and stopping for a couple days at a resort, literally in the middle of no where, but it was a good break. = 11 hours.

Then we drove up to Cardston for Tashina's wedding and spent a couple days there. = 8 hours.
Some pictures of the event:Us in front of the Cardston, Alberta temple.
This is Emily, one of our traveling companions. She's cute
The happy couple, now Tashina and Todd Watson.

The whole Lowry gang.
Siblings and in laws.

After the pictures, we had to drive back to the reception in Lacombe = 4 hours.

Then we went to the biggest mall in North America- the West Edmonton mall the following day. It was awesome, and I scored some great birthday presents. =) = 2 1/2 hours.

The following day we went to the cabin in Rocky Mountain House. = 1 hour.
This is us on the banana tube, everyone wanted to go with me and Clarissa because we are pregnant and can't kill our children. Apparently the Lowry family has a habit of being a little rough to those on the tube. =)

Kelly (mom) driving us all around on the tube, being nice.

After Kelly drove us around being "nice". It was hilarious.

We spent two days in Rocky and then drove back to Cardston to shorten the trip home. = 5 1/2 hours.

And then we drove all the way home from Cardston arriving safely and happily. = 12 hours.

Sooo all in all = 44 hours of driving in 9 days. Yeaah.
