awesome possum.

i feel very behind in blogging this break since we've been doing so much lately, so for the next couple they will be going backwards, but i was so excited about this i have to share it! you know how me and kassie went to vegas?? {more on that later} well, if not, we did... because the in-laws were coming down to install hardwood in our place. now let me tell you i was not the biggest fan of it before we left because not only did i think it was a different color than it turned out to be {camera phone pics are never the best, someday someone should make an awesome camera on a phone} but it sat in our house for 3 weeks in a giant pile and almost caused me to have some serious breakdowns because we had our christmas tree up so our couches were moved, kassie was staying with us, and this massive amount of hardwood was stacked under our table. needless to say, i was glad to get outta there. apparently i'm a little anile retentive when it comes to my house.

buuut, we came back from vegas and it was 95% finished!! after two days of slave labor from mike, kelly and tiffy {my hubbie doesn't quit til 2:00 am or later because he likes to do it as quick as possible} the hardwood looks fantastic! i love it so so so much. and we got a rug today, which i also love. have i mentioned how my taste in things is fabulous as well? well it is, cuz that rug looks dang good with our house.

unfortunately, i do not have before pictures because i was not here to take them but just imagine off-white speckled carpet with nasty stains from shoes, food, babies, dye etc etc. on it. and cheesy linoleum in the kitchen.

i think it makes our place look sooooo much bigger than it used to! but that might be because we had loads of crap in there the last 3 weeks =)

if you've been in our house, you have probably noticed the ghetto bathroom we have, with the floor sinking in and discolored on one side. {the people before us totally did that}well turns out, water leaks in from the outside. lovely eh? this is what it looked like underneath the ghetto cheesy linoleum. {the dark stuff is all wet}. it took the men a little bit longer to do the tile since they had to totally take out the floor, add new insallation, beams, plywood, a second layer of plywood so it would line up with the hard wood and then do the tile. levi's still working on the tile as i write this but he's on the last awkward angles of it.

starting to look good eh?? i am looooving it so much. if you're reading this, thanks guys!! it is fantastic and looks soooo much better!
