this week has been fun-filled. and by fun-filled, i mean school filled. i handed in my "after four years of college, this paper should be awesome" paper to independent study. and it was if i do say so myself. in case you were curious, it was on the impact of care-giver characteristics on infant language development. sounds smart eh? i'll admit i may have enjoyed writing it, i find the topic very interesting. i should be taking the final this week, and on my way to having one paper and one stupid poster presentation to the old people left before finals aaaand GRADUATION. huzzah huzzah!
to celebrate being finished with my paper, i spent quite a while on making the beast's party invitations. i know, it's a little ridiculous, apparently, i have my mother in me. and besides, his invitations are freaking awesome. i blurred out all the good stuff, so no creepy people show up at his party, since i know many of you secretly stalk my blog, like i stalk yours. hehe.
can you believe he's a year? i sure can't.
and since march madness has been ever present in our house, i decided i might as well make his banner right now too and get that over with. i will say though, that my husband cut out the triangles, because he is an excellent cutter. so props to levi!
in other news, because i can't just post about my craftiness.... the beast has found his electronics quite enjoyable lately. he's figured out he can reach the tv, which results in it being turned off, the channel changed, volume moved, switched to the wii or xbox, basically whenever he wants.
the phone has also become quite fun. he's learned how to push buttons and since the phone makes noise when you push it, it might be as cool as dad's cell phone is.
these two pictures were taken within about 10 minutes of each other. he has a hard time choosing what he wants to do lol but the cat is a motivating factor to play wii. she and him are bff's now. he's gotten to be a lot softer with her, and he now says "titty titty" when he sees her. ok, only about 25% of the time, but he only says it to her, so we'll go with that being "kitty kitty".
our other new passion is watching the washer and dryer. if the cat food/litter wasn't in there, i would leave him in there for an hour and he would just sit and watch the cycles. it's pretty funny.
his cheesy faces are just coming up more and more in pictures. and i love every one of them.
he looks like a little man in this picture and no longer a baby. oh my goodness.
He's so cute, Melissa. He has an AMAZING smile =)
ReplyDeleteHe does look like a man! Like a boy! Not a baby anymore. It's precious!
ReplyDeleteI love that he's on his tiptoe in front of the TV.
hoorraaayyy for the bday party coming up!! its crazy that he is turning one though, everything is going tobe awesome and how can it not after those invitations!!!
