this past week, i have gotten several emails from the Better Business Bureau about our moving company asking if we've gotten our stuff, what we're missing and if we've contacted them within the last week or so.
turns out they're a scam! they're apparently connected to three other previous scam moving companies that rip you off and are jerks and have "F" ratings on the BBB website. when i googled "globe moving and storage" this time around they had about 10 different complaints on various websites with the same story as us! except some people were 78 yr old widows, or didn't get their stuff for a month and a half etc. etc. and they all talked to the same lovely sales man named josh.
this may have made me a little excited. i may have copied and pasted my complaint form into every single rip off/complaint website i could find. i hope they get screwed. and i'm also glad i wasn't crazy for being psycho on them. turns out that's what they do for a living. classy eh? i feel like this should be an episode of white collar or burn notice and they should infiltrate the scammers and shut them down and give us all our money back. aahhh that would be the best day of my life.

ReplyDeletei can't say im all that surprised that they were a scam and that they suck!! i remember when you told me the company you were going with and i was surprised cause in all my research i did when we were moving i never even heard of them!! but what i am surprised about is the fact that you even got your stuff!!!!! kathryn told me about her relative who pretty much had the same experience as you but ended up with no stuff!! so im glad you got it, but man i hope those people suffer for what they did to everyone!!
I am just glad you got all of your stuff! That is so scary! When I got my car fixed a few years ago a similar thing happened and the company went out of business a few months later. I felt better until I realized the owner just keeps opening businesses and closing them so they don't have to deal with warranties. Gotta love jerks!
ReplyDeleteisn't that just terrible? i hate how horrible this world has become that people can't have honest businesses and work for what they deserve. i'm glad you got your stuff back but sorry you guys had to go through all of that crap to get it. way to put on your mama bear voice to show them you weren't going to be pushed around!
